Toasted Mince Pie Brioche

Mince Pies are an essential treat for the festive period but have you ever tried a Mince Pie toastie?

Created by one of our in-store demonstrators, Elizabeth, this Mince Pie Toastie is a sweet and festive treat for Christmas! Using brioche makes this toastie extra-special, but sliced bread will work just as well. We've used the Dualit Classic Sandwich Cage in this recipe!

Ingredients
  • 2 Slices of Brioche Bread (or 1 Brioche Roll, Cut in Half)
  • 1/2 tbsp Mincemeat
  • Icing Sugar
  • Ground Cinnamon

Method
  1. Flatten both slices of the brioche with your hands.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mincemeat onto one slice of brioche.
  3. Sandwich with second slice of brioche.
  4. Place in the Dualit Classic Sandwich Cage.
  5. Toast for 20 to 30 seconds or until lightly golden (caution: it will be hot!) then unplug your toaster.
  6. Cut in half to serve and lightly dust with a mix of icing sugar and ground cinnamon.
