Dualit’s 4 slice toaster range includes five models designed for different types of bread and breakfast routines. The main differences are how the slots are controlled, whether the toaster operates manually or pops up automatically, and whether it is designed for repair. Use the guide below to choose between the Classic, Combi, Lite, Architect and Long Slot models.
Hand-built Classic 4 slice toasters
The 4 Slice NewGen Classic Toaster is hand-assembled in West Sussex and designed to be repaired, with replaceable ProHeat® elements and other serviceable parts. Its selector lets you heat one, two, three or all four slots, while a mechanical timer controls browning. Toast stays inside the toaster until you raise it with the manual ejector, and separate bagel and defrost settings are included.
Toast and toasties with the Combi 2x2
The Combi 2x2 Classic Toaster has four slots and comes with two Sandwich Cages, so it can toast four slices of bread or make two toasties at once. The cages are also useful for lifting smaller items such as crumpets and teacakes. It shares the Classic range’s hand-built, repairable construction, but its selector operates one, two or all four slots.
Lite, Architect and Long Slot models
The 4 Slice Lite and Architect models pop up automatically and have separate controls for each pair of slots. Both include extra-wide slots, bagel and defrost settings, Perfect Toast Technology and Peek & Pop®, which lets you check the bread without cancelling the cycle. Choose the Architect for its interchangeable side panels. Choose the Long Slot Lite for sourdough, farmhouse loaves and oversized slices that may not fit a conventional toaster.
Which 4 slice toaster is best for you?
Choose the NewGen Classic for repairability, manual control and the option to heat individual slots. Choose the Combi 2x2 if you regularly make toasties and want two Sandwich Cages included. The Lite offers straightforward automatic operation, while the Architect adds customisable panels. For long or irregular slices of bread, choose the Long Slot Lite. The range is available in black, white, chrome and a selection of other finishes, with matching Dualit kettles available across selected collections.
