Following two years of development, Dualit is delighted to announce the launch of a limited edition Rose Gold finish for our popular four-slot Classic Toaster.
With its pink undertones adding warmth and character, the Rose Gold finish completes the metallic offering already available for customers, comprising of; Polished (the original and best-selling stainless-steel option), Copper and Brass. Suiting both contemporary and more traditionally styled kitchens, the Rose Gold Classic Toaster exudes a soft glow and looks great when paired with natural materials such as wood or marble for a sophisticated and elegant effect.
According to online image-led inspiration platform Pinterest, the trend for metallics in interiors shows no sign of abating, with pins relating to the trend increasing month on month. Offering versatility and the ability to complement an array of colour palettes, metallics can be incorporated into the home in a range of manners, from small accents to punctuate a space to mixing finishes and tones for a lustrous and contemporary feel.
Alex Gort-Barten, director of Dualit says, "Our customers have been asking us for a while for a Rose Gold option for the Classic Toaster, however, as with everything we do, we were determined to get it right, and we're so pleased with the finished product. A true Rose Gold is a difficult finish to achieve and we have worked hard to perfect the tone and balance the warm pink and gold hues."
A coveted kitchen icon, the Dualit Classic Toaster's design remains largely unchanged since its conception over 70 years ago. Still hand assembled in the UK at the company's factory in Crawley, West Sussex, each toaster bears a label on the base plate denoting the particular craftsman who assembled it - a personal touch that exemplifies the pride taken in creating each individual appliance. Dualit's Classic Toasters are traditionally hand sprayed at the factory to achieve the different coloured end castings, however, for this particular finish, it wasn't possible to create the high shine, mirror finish rose gold colour Dualit desired. Instead, the castings go through a lengthy process known as electroplating, where electrolysis is used to coat the aluminium castings with a metallic rose gold finish, resulting in its brilliant shine.
Made from die cast aluminium and durable stainless steel, all parts are fully repairable or replaceable for greater longevity whilst other features include energy-efficient slot-selector controls, which allow users to only heat the slots that are required. The mechanical timer allows toasting to perfection, while the removable crumb tray makes for easier cleaning, and an adjustable rear foot compensates for any uneven surfaces. Patented ProHeat elements, which benefit from a protective natural mineral layer (Mica), cover the filaments making them virtually unbreakable and easy to keep clean. Available in a plethora of metallic finishes and colours, optional sandwiches cages are also available for preparing delicious toasted sandwiches.
