Tuna Crunch Toastie

A toastie doesn’t have to be made with sliced bread! In this recipe we use pitta breads filled with a delicious tuna and cheese mixture.

Tuna Crunch Toastie

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 1

Cooking Time: 2 minutes

The filling was made using the Hand Blender and the pittas were toasted using the Sandwich Cage.

Ingredients
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1/2 cup of grated cheese
  • 1/3 cup of celery
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 pitta bread (cut in half)

Method
  1. Place the celery and spring onions into the Hand Blender chopper bowl and pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped.
  2. Drain the tuna then add it to the chopper bowl.
  3. Add the mayonnaise and cheese and blend the ingredients until everything has been mixed together.
  4. Add mixture into each pitta half.
  5. Put the pitta into a Sandwich Cage and toast for 2 minutes.
