Tuna Crunch Toastie
A toastie doesn’t have to be made with sliced bread! In this recipe we use pitta breads filled with a delicious tuna and cheese mixture.
Serves: 1
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 minutes
The filling was made using the Hand Blender and the pittas were toasted using the Sandwich Cage.
Ingredients
- 1 can of tuna
- 1/2 cup of grated cheese
- 1/3 cup of celery
- 1 spring onion
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 pitta bread (cut in half)
Method
- Place the celery and spring onions into the Hand Blender chopper bowl and pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped.
- Drain the tuna then add it to the chopper bowl.
- Add the mayonnaise and cheese and blend the ingredients until everything has been mixed together.
- Add mixture into each pitta half.
- Put the pitta into a Sandwich Cage and toast for 2 minutes.
Dualit product used
We used the Classic Toaster and Sandwich Cage to make this tasty toastie but Dualit's sandwich cages are available for the Classic, Domus, Architect and Lite Toasters.
