Mum’s milkshakes, served as a treat on a hot summer day on a picnic by the sea, or after playing with friends on the lawn, are a fond memory. Freshly made milk shakes are a good way of getting children to eat fruit without knowing it.
800g strawberries, hulled
400ml skimmed milk
4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
1 tbsp grenadine, or raspberry syrup
In the Large Dualit Bowl fitted with its Chopping Blade, whizz the strawberries until smooth and slushy. Remove the Blade and fit the E-Disc. Run the machine, adding the milk, ice-cream and syrup through the Feeder Tube until the mixture is smooth and thick.
Pour into glasses and serve.
It will keep overnight in the fridge.
