Fresh blended watermelon poured onto crushed ice creates a
refreshing drink, but in South Korea this recipe is often treated
as a dessert. We used the VotecS Blender and Smoothie Maker as it's
ice crush function is exactly what is needed for this.
Ingredients
1 watermelon
1L lemonade
1 L pineapple juice
Juice of 2 lemons
100ml sugar syrup
1 large jug of crushed ice
Mint leaves to garnish
Method
Crush ice cubes in the VortecS
blender using the ice crush option and set aside in a large
bowl.
Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out all the flesh
including seeds and place into the tall blending jug.
When the watermelon has been blended, strain to remove the
seeds then place back into the jug.
Add the pineapple juice, lemon juice and sugar syrup and blend
again.
Top the mixture with lemonade, then pour into glasses filled
with the crushed ice.
Spoon or drink immediately.
Top tips:
The more crushed ice is used the thicker the " fruit slush".
Add extra berriesand treat as a dessert, eaten with a spoon.
Halve the ingredients if preferred.
Freeze into ice pops or a refreshing sorbet.
The quantities will vary depending on the size of the water
melon, adjust the juices added accordingly,
