These traditional Scottish recipes make wonderful gifts and can
be made quickly and effortlessly in the Dualit Food Processor.
Coconut Ice
Shopping List
- 500g desiccated coconut
- 250g icing sugar
- 85g condensed milk
- Red food colouring
- Approx 2 tsp water
Method
- Mix together the condensed milk, icing sugar and desiccated
coconut in the large or medium bowl fitted with its chopping blade.
Add the water through the feeder tube to bind the mixture.
- When the mixture becomes firm divide into two parts.
- Colour one half of the mixture with a few drops of red food
colouring.
- Roll out both mixtures onto a surface dusted with icing sugar
and press firmly together.
- Cut into squares, place in a warm place to dry for 1 hour.
Peppermint Creams
Shopping List
- 250g icing sugar
- 1 ½ tsp (or to taste) peppermint essence or oil of
peppermint
- 3-4 tblsp Condensed milk
- 1 tsp water
Method
- In the large or medium bowl fitted with its chopping blade
blend all of the ingredients together until they form a firm
paste.
- Roll out onto a surface dusted with icing sugar.
- Cut into squares or form small balls and flatten.
- Place the peppermint creams onto parchment or silicon paper,
place in a warm place to dry for 1 hour.
