Poor service from Dualit
"My timer started sticking and I've been waiting for months now for these timers to come back into stock. I've now ended up buying a smart plug with an auto off feature set for 2 minutes which is much more reliable than the Dualit timer and no need to worry now that another family member has left the toaster on whilst I'm out!!"
Replacement Timer
"Availability on the website is tight, but you can get them on back order. I emailed customer services and they offered to place me on back order. About a week later a lovely lady from Dualit called to say they had a timer in stock. She took my credit card details over the phone and dispatched it out. Not quite the same as having a plentiful supply in stock I agree, but sometimes these things happen and Dualit put it right."

"As other reviews, it’s a simple part and no available spares. Dualit justifies high prices by ‘high quality, able to repair. ’ So disappointing. Just buy something, cheap and reliable on Amazon."
Sort the timer stock out!
"Great toaster but we have been trying for ages to get a timer for our 5 year old toaster, this is just ridiculous, "always able to repair" really?! - the last review was very helpful however with the smart plug, I never thought to use it that way, we already have a smart plug connected to the toaster for safety so it shuts down at night like a load of other appliances, so if you want to set this up while you are waiting in line like the rest of us call your smart plug "Toaster" and tell Alexa "turn off the toaster in 2 minutes" works a treat, thankyou last reviewer."
No spare - no point
"My timer is jamming and needs replacing. Looks like its a common problem that the spares are not available so the benefits of an expensive dualit toaster are wiped out. Just going to buy a new toaster that would be no more expensive than the part anyway."
Nice toaster but appalling parts availability
"Our Dualit three slot toaster has been in our flat and then house for a long time. The infamous timer failed a while back and like many other disgruntled customers I cannot buy a replacement. Dualit is just another example of a company that has lost touch with its original philosophy and only wants to shift merchandise with zero backup or customer support. So I have an expensive ornament which I won’t throw out because this would still just be a waste and after owning it for so long, it just feels wrong. Dualit, how difficult is it to increase the manufacturing output of a simple mechanical timer?"
New timers not available
"Dualit prides itself on the repairability and availability of parts for their appliances. This does however not apply to timers which are unavailable as a spare part. This is especially a nuisance because timers are a part that regularly need replacing. I bought Dualit because of their repairability. Now my otherwise excellent Dualit toaster is useless and destined for waste recycling."
No spares in stock - do not buy this toaster
"The simple message is - don't buy a Dualit toaster. This timer fails despite being a simple clockwork mechanism. Your toaster is then either useless or dangerous. You can buy a cheap and cheerful toaster for less than the price of a replacement timer - it will probably last longer. Really disappointed - I expected much better from Dualit."

"In this age of instantaneous gratification, sometimes, a bit of time is all that is required. Contact Customer Services at Dualit, who are really helpful, via their contact form, and after contacting you via email, you can request a back order for these timers, which will be fulfilled ASAP. Companies such as Dualit, that continues to support their products with spare part availability need to be cherished and supported, after all let’s face it, most of us that have ended up here have had years of toasting with Dualits element and iconic sustainable design, giving them a bit of patience shouldn’t cost them bad reviews."
Mi7 Timer Out of Stock
"Spoke to customer services today and they were very helpful. Confirmed that the mi7 timer stocks are being delivered to Dualit by their supplier but they are working through a long list of back orders. So, if you want the part, contact Dualit, get your name on the back order list and they will contact you when it’s available. Could be a 10-12 week wait though."
