Add spice to your toasties with this authentic Indian somosa recipe.

 

Ingredients

  • Medium sliced bread
  • 2tbls Vegetable Oil
  • 1tsp Cumin
  • Ginger, Salt & Chilli's to taste
  • 1 Potatoes diced,1 cm cubes
  • Podded Peas
  • Lemon Juice & Coriander

 

Method

  1. 2 tbls of oil into pan, and heat slightly. Add a tsp of cumin seeds, and allow to get slightly brown (About 30 seconds).
  2. Add diced potatoes and peas into pan and mix. Salt, ginger and chillies to taste.
  3. When potatoes and peas are almost cooked add a couple of tablespoon of lemon juice and a handful of chopped
  4. coriander.
  5. Wait till completely cooked. (About 20 minutes, until Potatoes are cooked).
  6. Allow mix to cool before making toastie.
  7. Butter the outside of the bread, fill the sandwich and toast for 2 minutes.
