The Breast Cancer Haven programme provides a unique model of care that is fully integrated with hospital medical treatment. It is a global leader in its field and cancer specialists from all over the world visit Havens and learn from them. It costs around £1000 to provide the Haven programme for each Visitor and the care and support make a huge difference to their lives at a difficult time, which is why Dualit are pleased to be able to help with raising these vital funds.
For anyone who cannot get to a Breast Cancer Haven centre, help is also available through the website - www.thehaven.org.uk - and over the phone.
There are currently five Breast Cancer Haven centres in London, Leeds, Worcester, Hereford and Titchfield, Hampshire and since the first centre opened in 2000 over 10,600 people with breast cancer have received their support. Towards the end of 2017 Breast Cancer Haven will be opening a centre in the West Midlands (Solihull) and plan to open more services across the country over the next ten years. We hope that the donations made from the sale of the Classic Toaster in Petal Pink will assist with these costs.
