Shopping List

• 1 apple
• 2 pears
• 2 celery sticks
• 1 beetroot
• ⅓ lemon (unwaxed and unpeeled)
• 150ml coconut water

Juice all the fruit and vegetables, pour into a glass then top up with the coconut water.

Pears contain laevulose, which is a sugar more easily tolerated by diabetics. This reduces acidity which is particularly useful for anyone who suffers with arthritis and gout. Coconut water is also packed full of nutrients, including five essential electrolytes that we have in our bodies; magnesium, sodium, calcium, phosphorous and potassium.
