Sunday afternoons were made for a fruit crumble. Classic apple is a family favourite, and this recipe serves 4-6.
Serves: 4 - 6 Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Our Apple Crumble couldn't be easier to make, so why don't you
give it a try?
2 tins/390g apples
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
200g plain flour
100g butter or margarine
75g caster sugar
25g demerara sugar
Heat oven to 200C/180F.
Place apples in a 20cm/3pint pie dish.
Spoon lemon juice over the apples.
Sift flour into mixing bowl.
Cut cold butter or margarine into cubes and add to flour.
Mix together until it forms a breadcrumb consistency.
Add caster sugar and mix.
Spoon crumble mix over apples.
Sprinkle demerera sugar on top.
Bake in oven for 45mins.
