Is a 1 Litre Kettle the Right Size?
If you usually make tea or coffee for one or two people, a 1 litre kettle gives you enough capacity for several cups without taking up the space of a larger model. One litre holds enough water for three 300ml mugs, although the number of drinks will depend on your cup size.
A small kettle can also be useful in a guest room, holiday home or shared kitchen where worktop space is limited. If you regularly fill a large teapot or make drinks for several people at once, you may prefer a 1.5 litre kettle.
A Small Kettle with Practical Features
Dualit’s 1L Mini Jug Kettle brings the familiar design of the larger Lite Jug Kettle into a smaller format. Its stainless steel body measures approximately 20 × 16 × 23cm, making it easier to find a place for it on a busy worktop.
The viewing windows on both sides have cup-level indicators, so you can measure the water you need before boiling. A hinged lid opens for filling, while the heatproof handle and oversized non-drip spout help make pouring comfortable and controlled. The cordless kettle sits on a 360° swivel base, allowing you to pick it up and replace it from either side.
Choosing Between a Mini Kettle and a Larger Model
Think about your busiest moments as well as your usual routine. A mini kettle may comfortably cover your morning coffee and afternoon tea, but a larger capacity can save you refilling when guests visit or when you need hot water for cooking.
Our 1 litre kettle sits between the 800ml Pour Over Kettle, which offers adjustable temperature control and a gooseneck spout, and our larger everyday models. Explore our 1.5 litre kettles for more capacity, or browse the full kettle range to compare sizes and styles.
