Bursting with delicious flavours, our mixed berry compote is perfect served with your favourite dessert.

This compote is a brilliant way to use up your left over fruit. It can be served with all sorts of desserts or even piled on top of your sunday morning pankcakes for the ultimate brunch treat.

  1. Begin by rinsing all of your fruit, then pat dry.
  2. Place all the ingredients into a large saucepan and simmer on a low heat.
  3. Use a wooden spoon to gently mash some of the fruit, keeping the majority whole.
  4. Continue to simmer for 30 minutes, stirring ocassionally.
  5. Remove from the heat and allow to cool a little then serve warm drizzled over vanilla ice cream, custard or natural set yoghurt.

Top tips:

  • Any leftovers can be frozen in a sealed, airtight bag
  • Spoon into your porridge for an early morning treat
  • Drizzle over cheesecakes, or make up a fruit fool by stirring into whipped double cream
  • Top your panckaes with bacon, maple syrup and this berry compote for a super Saturday brunch
