Chocolate Brownies

This recipe has everything you'd want in a brownie - chocolatey, rich, fudgy goodness. Our recipe combines dark chocolate and cocoa powder for the perfect chocolate brownie.

Impress your guests with the ultimate chocolate brownie. This foolproof recipe was created by our in-store demonstrator Cheryl. For this recipe we have used our Dualit Mini Oven and Hand Mixer. Serve warm and topped with a drizzle of cream for a winning dessert.


  1. Preheat your Mini Oven to 180°, set to Bake, wire shelf position C.
  2. Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl over a hot but not boiling pan of water.
  3. Add the sugar and whisk using the Hand Mixer and balloon whisk.
  4. Beat in eggs for about a minute until mixture is a bit bubbly.
  5. Add in the flour, cocoa powder and salt and mix together, using the Hand Mixer and flat beaters, until the mixture is thoroughly combined.
  6. Grease the inside of a rectangular baking tray and add baking paper a bit bigger than your tin.
  7. Gently pour the batter into the tin and add the chocolate buttons to the top (if desired).
  8. Bake brownies for 20-25 mins. Don't worry if it wobbles when you take it out, they will continue to cook once out of the oven.
  9. Leave the brownies to cool in the tin.
  10. Once cooled use the baking paper to lift the brownie out and place on a chopping board to cut and serve.


Top Tip

  • Decorate with milk chocolate buttons, white chocolate buttons or a mixture of both!
