Apple, Banana and Cinnamon Brioche Toastie

If you fancy a sweet rather than savoury toastie then try this - it tastes particularly nice made with sliced brioche. Enjoy as a treat for breakfast especially during the cold winter months!

Apple, Banana and Cinnamon Brioche Toastie

Toasted sandwiches are best made with the help of a Dualit Sandwich Cage - they keep the filling where it should be and give the bread a good crunch! We used Dualit's Hand Blender chopping bowl to make the filling.



  • 8 slices of brioche loaf
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Banana
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • Icing sugar to dust



  1. Peel and core the apples then slice into large chunks.

  2. Peel and slice the banana.

  3. Place ingredients into the Hand Blender's chopping bowl.

  4. Add the ground cinnamon and lemon juice.

  5. Blend for 10-20 seconds (the mixture does not need to be completely smooth).

  6. Take 2 slices of brioche loaf and place on the sandwich cage.

  7. Spread a generous amount of the mixture across one slice.

  8. Place the second slice on top, fold the cage and place in the toaster.

  9. Toast for 2 mins or until golden brown.

  10. Remove from the toaster and sift icing sugar over the toastie using a sieve.
