Affogato

A deliciously refreshing drink or dessert, made with creamy vanilla ice cream and a single shot of espresso.

A single shot of espresso brewed directly over your favourite choice of ice cream. We've served ours in the Dualit Doppio Cups & Saucers Set, and have used our coffee capsules and one of our capsule coffee machines to make it!

Ingredients
  • 1 x Espresso Shot
  • 1 x Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream

Method
  1. Place a single scoop of vanilla ice cream into your Dualit Doppio Cup.
  2. Place the cup with the ice cream under the brewhead of your coffee machine.
  3. Use the Dualit Espress-Auto Tea and Coffee Machine, the Dualit 3 in 1 Coffee Machine and your coffee blend of choice (or simply brew your favourite espresso following your typical routine) to make a single shot of espresso directly over the ice cream.
  4. Serve immediately!

Top Tips...

  • Try experimenting with different flavours of ice cream - chocolate ice cream would make a mocha flavoured affogato. Pistachio would also work well.
  • Stir to drink, or enjoy with a spoon. The choice is yours.
