Dualit again won the coveted "Plugged In" category at this year's Excellence in Housewares awards, held at The Lancaster London on October 7th.
The awards are organised by Progressive Housewares magazine, in conjunction with the Cookshop & Housewares Association to honour the industry's finest housewares retailers and products.
Judged by a panel that included representatives from prestigious retailers and leading independents, Dualit's Copper Finish Classic Toaster and Kettle beat off stiff competition from the likes of Kitchen Aid, Kenwood and Magimix to win the Plugged In award, given to the best electrical household product.
The night was rounded off in style when Dualit's Managing Director, Leslie Gort-Barten was presented with the prestigious Honorary Achievement award, given to those who have been recognised as contributing greatly to the UK Housewares industry. Leslie is the son of Dualit's founder, Max Gort-Barten and joined the company in 1972. During his tenure, Dualit Classic Toasters have become a design icon and the product range has expanded to include a food preparation range, kettles, coffee machines, tea and coffee capsules.
