- Set the oven to 180c / 160c fan or gas mark 4.
- Line a tray with greaseproof paper or silicone baking mat.
- Using the Dualit Hand Mixer with Flat Beaters, beat the butter and sugar in a bowl until pale and creamy.
- Sift in the flour and continue to beat then add the milk.
- Change to the Dough Hooks and knead the mixture until you form a soft dough.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface or straight onto the silicone mat until about 1cm or 1/2in thick.
- Cut the dough into shapes using cutters.
- Cut a hole in the middle of the shapes and place a sweet there (half a sweet if the hole is small)
- Bake in the oven for 10 -15 minutes until golden.
- Leave to cool when out of the oven until the melted sweet has hardened. Then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling
