Shortbread Biscuits

Shortbread biccies are a crowd pleaser! And our recipe makes 16, so plenty to go around with that afternoon cup of tea.

Shortbread Biscuits

Makes: Approx. 16 biscuits

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Try the classic finger shape or use biscuit cutters to personalise.


  1. Heat oven to 160C/140F.
  2. Grease or line baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until smooth using a Hand Mixer.
  4. Very gently mix in the flour.
  5. Using your hands, squeeze the dough into a ball.
  6. Roll the dough to 5mm thick and shape using a biscuit cutter or cut into fingers.
  7. Place on a baking tray and chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle each biscuit with a little sugar and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Cool on wire rack.
