Question:

The display reads 'NO STATIONS AVAILABLE' in DAB mode

Answer: 

The DAB signal is not strong enough. Ensure the 'AERIAL' (9) is fully extended. Try Manually tuning the station frequency.

If this fails move the radio to a location with better signal.


Question:

A ‘?’ is displayed next to the station name in dab mode

Answer:  

You are outside the broadcast area or the station is inactive.


Question:

The clock resets or is wrong

Answer: 

1.The clock may reset if the power adaptor is disconnected and the battery is flat. 

Connect the power adaptor and tune into a DAB station which auto sets the time or manually re-set the time, Page 5 of the instruction manual.


2.The time broadcasted by the DAB station may be incorrect. 

Tune into another DAB station.


Question:

I hear an electronic sound

Answer:

This is when the signal is nearly lost or borderline. 

Ensure the 'AERIAL' (9) is fully extended or try relocating the radio using 'Signal error' feature, page 9 of the instruction manual.


Question:

I see ‘’ next to the DAB station name

Answer:

The broadcaster has a secondary service broadcasting. 

The next station on the list will be the secondary service. This can be alternative music or an information service. Transmission times vary.


Question:

Why won't my radio switch on?

Answer:

Ensure the plug is correctly inserted and that the main ON/OFF switch located on the back of the radio is in the ON position. 

If not using the mains supply, check the battery is charged.


Question:

Why does the display read ‘NO STATIONS AVAILABLE’ in DAB mode?

Answer:

This indicates that the DAB signal is not strong enough.

Ensure the aerial is fully extended and try tuning in to the station frequency manually. 

If this fails, move the radio to a location with a better signal.

Question:

Can I get a radio extension speaker?

Answer:

No, we do not stock spare speakers

If you connect your own extension speaker, it needs to be 8 Ohm Impedance. 

With regards to the connections, the radio will be the left channel and the extension speaker the right channel. The sound will change from mono to true stereo sound once the speaker is plugged in.


Question:

1.The clock may reset if the power adaptor is disconnected or the battery is flat. 

Connect the power adaptor and tune into a DAB station; this will automatically reset the time. 


2.Alternatively, you can manually reset the time.


Question:

My aerial is broken, can I get a replacement?

Answer:

Unfortunately not.

Although the aerial is a replaceable part, since the discontinuation of the radio, spare aerials can no longer be obtained from Dualit.


Question:

My battery won't hold a charge, can I get a replacement battery?

Answer:

Unfortunately not.

Although the battery pack is a replaceable part, since the discontinuation of the radio, spare battery packs can no longer be obtained from Dualit.
