Trifle Magnifica - King of Trifles (obsolete)
This magnificent trifle is certainly a stunning centrepiece at Christmas, or any special dinner dessert.

Made over two days, this trifle is filled to the brim and topped with a selection of jewelled fruits.
Ingredients
- 1 x 8 pack of Trifle Sponges
- 3 x 135g packs of Jelly. (2 x strawberry plus 1 x orange)
- 1 x 420g Tin Fruit cocktail in light syrup (250g drained )
- 1 x 420g Tin Pear Halves in syrup
- 1 x 250g Tin Mandarins in juice
- 3 x Tbsp Custard powder
- 1 Ltr Whole milk
- 1 x 300ml Carton thick double cream
- 50-100ml Brandy (Sherry or Port may be used as an alternative)
- 3 x Pints of hot water, for the jellies
