Quick & Easy Hollandaise Sauce

A quick and easy Hollandaise Sauce to add to a tasty brunch, lunch or starter!
Serves: 4 Preparation Time: 30 minutes Cooking Time: 1 second

Formerly known as Dutch sauce, Hollandaise Sauce is one of the five mother sauces in French cuisine. Typically served with the likes of Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine and Eggs Royale, this staple sauce is a rich addition to any dish! We've made our hollandaise with the help of the Dualit 700W Hand Blender!

Ingredients

  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 150g Melted Hot Butter
  • 6-8 Tarragon Leaves
  • 1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Warm Water
  • Juice of Quarter of a Lemon
  • Salt & Pepper
Quick Hollandaise Sauce

1. Add the egg yolks to the Dualit 700W Hand Blender chopping beaker attachment and blend until you have acheived a thick consistency and the eggs have turned pale.

2. Melt the butter in a small jug and, whilst continuing to blend at a slow speed, drizzle the hot melted butter into the chopping beaker attachment through the feeder.

3. When all the butter has been added, continue to blend whilst adding the tarragon leaves, white wine vinegar, lemon and salt and pepper to taste.

4. If you prefer a loose consistency, add a little warm water.

Tips...

  • A teaspoon of dijon mustard can be added to the sauce for a little extra spice.
