How to make a chocolate orange tart by Mat Riley

Serves 8

Sweet pastry with a thick, glossy, chocolate orange filling from The Great British Bake Off finalist Mat Riley. Mat uses the Dualit Food Processor to make the pastry and shows that a chocolate orange is not just for Christmas!

For the pastry;

  • 100g Plain flour
  • 50g Unsalted butter
  • 50g Icing sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla bean paste


  • 240ml Double cream
  • 100g Good quality dark chocolate
  • 100g Good quality milk chocolate
  • 75g Golden caster sugar
  • zest of 1-2 oranges
  • Mini chocolate orange segments to decorate

Enjoy on its own or with whipped cream or ice cream.
