Iconic British manufacturer, Dualit is delighted to announce the launch of its New Neutral collection for its iconic Classic Toasters following a year of consultation with global colour and trend forecaster, Anna Starmer. Inspired by the world we live in, organic materials, found objects and treasured items, the range is comprised of four carefully chosen colours; Porcelain, Feather, Shadow and Powder that offer delicate tints and sit perfectly with each other.
Anna Starmer says, "More than ever, I think there is a real need to create calm and meditative spaces within our homes. Somewhere we can breathe deeply, relax, unwind and just be still and quiet. The New Neutral colours that have been curated for Dualit's Classic Toasters represent this sense of calm, quietude and solace. Pared back and unchallenging, the colours are beautiful in their subtleness allowing them to be enjoyed for years to come."
With the growing popularity for warm grey and white kitchens and the use of natural materials including wood and stone, Dualit saw the need for a new collection of neutral colours that was fresh and exciting. Intensive research and lively discussions took place, including a hands on session where a vast array of objects and treasures were curated into colour families by Anna; from white and greys through to soft pinkish tints allowing Dualit to explore the wide range of different shades and tones.
Alex Gort-Barten, director of Dualit says, "It has been an exciting year working with Anna as it has made us look at our product in a completely different way. As engineers with an obsessive attention to detail, the form and function of a product is always the first thing we consider. This time, colour and the emotional connection it has for customers was at the forefront of our conversations and decision making."
The Dualit New Neutral Classic Toaster Collection will be available from John Lewis and www.dualit.com from the 5th July 2017. Each colourway will be available in both two slot and four slot Classic Toasters.
