New for summer 2018, the latest pack uses the Overlook pattern by Kit Miles, an elegant motif that creates an effect of endless geometry. Inspired by the marble palaces of Rajasthan, the print would suit a range of kitchens thanks to its monochrome palette. The pattern is applied to the panels through a specialised hand finished process in the Dualit factory in West Sussex.
An innovative design, Dualit's Architect appliances have panels that can be easily removed and interchanged, and the Overlook panels are the latest to join a growing collection of alternative options available exclusively from the Dualit website for customers to personalise their products. Launching on 11 July, the Overlook panel packs will be available for £24.95 each for the Dualit Architect Two and Four Slice Toasters, as well as the Dualit Architect Kettle.
Renowned for the dynamic use of colour and lavish, hand drawn imagery, Kit Miles studio weaves together a world of rich and often surprising juxtapositions, rendering a unique world of design. Commenting on his second collaboration with Dualit, founder of the Kit Miles studio, Kit Miles says, "It has been wonderful to continue working with Dualit, and I'm delighted with how our standout Overlook pattern looks on the panels. The design was inspired by a marble inlay floor I discovered whilst exploring an ancient Rajastani palace in India, and to see it contrasted against Dualit's contemporary Architect range encapsulates so much of what we are about as a studio."
Senior Marketing Executive at Dualit, Debbie McIvor-Main says, "Over the last four years, we have enjoyed working with talented and passionate British designers on our Architect collection. Kit's creative and inventive spirit, together with his passion for craftsmanship is reflective of our own design ethos at Dualit. Choosing just the one design initially had been so difficult, and the Overlook pattern had always stood out to us as being elegant yet contemporary, with a real sense of depth and attention to detail. We are sure that as with the exuberant Biophilia panels from our first collaboration, the Overlook designs will be popular with our customers."
Customisation is set to continue to be a big trend in 2018, and Dualit's Architect range is perfect for trend-driven home owners thanks to its unique interchangeable panels, allowing for the appliances to be updated whenever desired, with a wide variety of choice available. In addition to the two Kit Miles panel packs available, options range from abstract florals by Scottish design studio Bluebellgray to delightful London scenes by luxury homeware designer Charlene Mullen, as well as an edit of neutral tones and metallics including on-trend millennial pink and copper.
Benefiting from an ergonomic design, the Dualit Architect Kettle and Toasters are perfect for creating a style statement in the kitchen while the innovative features offer intuitive and reliable functionality. The two and four slice toasters include a patented Peek & Pop® function, for checking on the bread without stopping the toasting cycle, as well as Dualit's patented Perfect Toast Technology for perfectly consistent, golden brown toast. Completing the duo, the matching rapid boil kettle boasts Which? Best Buy status, and benefits from Dualit's Patented Pure Pour® spout which provides a uniquely smooth pouring action to prevent any drips. Handy cup level indicators and an illuminated window make gauging water levels easy for maximum efficiency and energy saving, whilst the 360-degree axis power base ensures ease of use.
