Make the Perfect Coffee

There are many ways to make coffee now, whether you use instant, ground, pods or capsules, there are 5 areas that affect coffee taste, all aspects Dualit take very seriously when testing and producing capsules. Here are the things you need to consider when making coffee.

Dualit's Top Tips

• Coffee Freshness - It's important to use fresh roasted coffee, this is the only way you can ensure fresh great tasting coffee.

• Grind Type - Ensure you select the correct grind type for the brew method, for example using coarse grind for cafetiere brewing ensures the best flavour is extracted.

• Storage - Store coffee in a tightly sealed container or bag, in a cool dark place away from odours.

• Water Temperature - coffee tastes best when brewed between 89-96 degrees.

• Pre warm your cup - this will help keep your coffee hotter for longer, ensuring you have a satisfying "ahhh" cuppa moment.

Try Something Different

• Here are a few things Dualit think you should try to jazz your coffee.

• Experiment - Try beans from around the world, as with wine, the soil, climate and cultivation methods all affect the taste of the coffee, producing anything from a mild, mellow blend to a rich, dark roast.

• Fancy something cold? - Why not try a frozen coffee drink, add a cooled espresso to 250ml of frozen milk and add sugar or honey (optional), place the ingredients in a blender and blitz. It's perfect for a hot coffee morning.

• Flavour - Shake things up and add syrup flavouring to your coffee.

Finally if coffees not your thing you can always have a nice cup of tea….and let's be honest both tea and coffee taste great with a large slice of cake.
