"The timer works intermittently and never shuts the toaster off when it stops. Yikes! Searched for a replacement timer, but no luck. Bought a Breville and am happy. Don't believe the "toaster for life, you can fix it yourself" marketing hype."

"We have been waiting 6 months for this part to come back into stock. We are now considering buying a new toaster. Others have complained about the lack of availability but there has been no update from dualit. A major selling point of this premium brand is that it is supposed to last a lifetime because it’s easy to repair and spares are easily available. Dualit should be updating their website of when they expect this part to be back in stock."

"Came to the manufacturers site looking for a replacement timer and it's out of stock, with no indication of when it will be available. In the meantime, I have a ~£100 toaster that's inconsistently usable, which was bought on the premise that it could be easily maintained. Disappointing"
